Hey, hang in there in terms of screwing up a basic dish, it happens to the best of us. I spilled an entire batter of cookies onto the floor recently in the middle of a stressful week. Cooking mishaps happen to the best of us! I hope that this stressful stuff works out soon!

I’m currently in the middle of the most involved fried chicken recipe ever. It involves brining, par-boiling, and THEN deep-frying. The things I do in the pursuit of deliciousness. Also, I totally didn’t buy enough oil, so now I have to fry one piece at a time in my tiny saucepot because it’s the only pot deep and narrow enough to have the oil cover the chicken pieces. ugh.
